ABOUT FIRST LADY MARSHELL
I serve as First Lady and Assistant Pastor of Unity House of Prayer, where I have faithfully served the Lord and His people for nearly two decades.
My heart for ministry is rooted in prayer, faithfulness, teaching, and a sincere desire to see people grow stronger in their relationship with God. I believe that ministry is not simply about holding a position, but about being willing to serve wherever God places you.
As the wife of Senior Pastor Wayne Wickware, I have had the privilege of standing beside him in ministry while also developing the gifts and calling God has placed within my own life. Together, we share a commitment to strengthening the church, encouraging families, teaching the Word of God, and helping people discover their purpose in Christ.
A HEART FOR TEACHING
Teaching has been an important part of my life both professionally and spiritually. As an educator, I understand the importance of patience, preparation, encouragement, and helping others recognize their potential.
That same heart carries into ministry. I believe the Word of God should not only be preached, but taught in a way that helps people understand how to live it every day.
Whether teaching, encouraging, counseling, praying, or simply listening, my desire is to help people become stronger in their faith and more confident in who God has called them to be.
A WOMAN OF PRAYER
Prayer is one of the foundations of my life and ministry.
I believe prayer changes situations, strengthens families, encourages the discouraged, brings peace in difficult seasons, and keeps us connected to the heart of God.
As a prayer warrior, I have learned that some of the greatest ministry does not happen in front of people. Sometimes it happens quietly—when someone is calling a name before God, standing in the gap for a family, praying for the church, or believing God for someone who may be struggling to believe for themselves.
My desire is to continue being a woman who not only talks about prayer, but lives a life of prayer.
A SERVANT’S HEART
I believe leadership begins with service.
Throughout my years at Unity House of Prayer, I have sought to serve with faithfulness, stewardship, consistency, punctuality, and a willingness to teach and assist wherever needed.
Serving the church is not about recognition. It is about recognizing that everything God places in our hands is an opportunity to bless someone else.
Whether standing beside my husband in ministry, teaching, praying, helping behind the scenes, encouraging members, or supporting the vision of the church, my desire is to remain available to God.
HEART FOR FAMILY AND MINISTRY
Family and ministry are deeply important to me.
I believe strong churches are built through strong relationships, strong families, prayer, love, forgiveness, patience, and a commitment to growing together.
As First Lady, my heart is especially drawn toward encouraging women, strengthening families, supporting marriages, nurturing younger generations, and reminding people that they do not have to walk through life alone.
I believe the church should be a place where people are loved, strengthened, taught, restored, and given room to grow.
WALKING TOGETHER IN PURPOSE
For nearly twenty years, Pastor Wayne and I have walked together as husband and wife, sharing life, family, faith, and ministry.
I am grateful for the opportunity God has given us to serve together at Unity House of Prayer. While our individual gifts may be different, our purpose remains united—to glorify God and help people become everything He has called them to be.
My prayer is that my life will continue to demonstrate faithfulness, compassion, prayer, service, and a genuine love for God’s people.
